Camagüey, Cuba, March 27th.- In this municipality, work is being done to improve community care programs and actions aimed at people in situations of dependency and vulnerability.

According to the Directorate of Labor and Social Security in the territory, 450 elderly and disabled adults currently benefit from the services provided by the institution.

A large group of them receives home help, others -located in Grandparents’ Homes and the Nursing Home- receive partial and total subsidization of their payment, and more than 50 are in the process of characterization.

Likewise, in Camagüey, three groups of patients with chronic diseases that require the use of air-conditioned equipment and lighting are protected with the payment of electricity consumption.
