Camagüey, Cuba, April 18th.- The guarantee of fuel supply to several airports in the country and the comprehensive results sustained during 2023 support today the delivery for the seventh time of the National Vanguard Condition to the Transcupet Base Business Unit (UEB) Camagüey in this city.

The first vice minister of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Argelio Jesús Abad Vigoa, congratulated this dedicated group and assured that their task cuts across all sectors of the economy and the province meets its goals thanks to the efforts of its 173 workers.

He also stressed that the Office of Environmental Regulation and Safety granted him the status of safe management of hazardous waste, three workers received the 8 de Octubre status, as well as the La Estrella del Mayor distinction.

The repair and maintenance of the workshop’s machining equipment, which includes a new generation compressor, is another of the achievements of this entity that has workers like Antonio Estévez Santos who has been working for almost five decades.

Estévez told the Cuban News Agency that when he heard his name to receive the recognition for having been in the sector for more than 40 years, he was shaken because from a very young age he has assumed with commitment and responsibility this great task that he wants to carry out forever.
