Camagüey, Cuba, January 27th.- Yasel Toledo Garnache, president of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS), led an exchange this Saturday with members of the organization of the Cuban artistic avant-garde of this region.
The young man highlighted that Camagüey is one of the provinces with the greatest prominence of its associates, with a large number of members and with an important program in which events such as the El Almacén de la Imagen Audiovisual Exhibition, the Cultural Journalism Colloquium and the Crusade stand out. There is a lot of awareness in the country of the importance of the AHS and our purpose is to be the vanguard of all Cuban youth because in times when we need a lot of art and beauty we have the strength that comes from the diversity that we welcome in our ranks», he said, and called to dream of increasingly comprehensive and inclusive initiatives that contribute.
The people of Camagüey referred to latent concerns from the debates of the 4th Congress, held during the last calendar, among them the growth of the association, the articulation with the Culture System in the territories and the attention to the creative needs of youth.
Actions carried out by the Performing Arts section to rescue the Theater Room of the House of the Young Creator of this city were also presented, in addition to a project aimed at community work with deaf and hearing people.
For her part, the Vice Minister of Culture of Cuba, Lizette Martínez Luzardo, referred in the exchange to the need to elevate the flight of artistic and literary creation, and to continue the valuable contribution that young people make to the country’s cultural programming and to training of the public.
