Camagüey, Cuba, September 21st.- With an outstanding career as leader of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR, Spanish Acronym) in the municipality of Vertientes, in Camagüey, Dulce Conde Estévez received today, in this city, the September 28th distinction in Greetings to the 63rd anniversary of the largest mass organization in the country.

From the age of 14 she joined the CDR, convinced that the unity of the people can be achieved in the neighborhood, with the necessary protagonism of the young generations, she told the Cuban News Agency.

In that sense, she said, we managed to articulate the work of the CDR with the Federation of Cuban Women, to carry out voluntary work, collect raw materials and deliver the quote.

Currently, Conde Estévez works as a non-professional member of the municipal secretariat of the CDR, coordinator of zone 98 and president of CDR 1 of constituency 15, positions that, she assured, she assumes with the commitment to motivate the CDR members to fulfill their tasks of membership.

During the ceremony of decorations, held in the Revolution Square Mayor General Ignacio Agramonte, grassroots leaders also received the medal for the Defense of the Homeland and the Unity of the Neighborhood, among them Nelson Rodríguez Franco, with 20 years at the head of the CDR in Nuevitas.

His contributions as a leader in the neighborhood materialize in the delivery of 1,700 special bonds and 238 pesos from Territorial Troop Militias, in addition to the collection of raw materials such as iron, plastic, cardboard, glass and aluminum.

These results, he pointed out, support the status of National Vanguard of CDR 10 of zone 39 of the Los Coquitos district in that northern territory, where they also soon intend to contribute with the planting of cane.
