Authorities recognize the work of linemen from Camagüey in Pinar del Río

Camagüey, Cuba, Sep 5th.- With pride for the consecration and dedication, the Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz contingent was received in this province, who worked for six days in the restoration of the affected electrical service in Pinar del Río, after the passage of the tropical storm Idalia.

Roberto Conde Silverio, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba in Camagüey, congratulated them this Sunday for the performance in these days of arduous work and called on them to continue in the vanguard by having the satisfaction of having fulfilled their duty because they have delivered happiness to a lot of families.

In the warm welcome, Fernando Pérez Torres, a specialized lineman from the municipality of Jimaguayú, with more than 10 years of experience, assured the Cuban News Agency that from 2018 to date he has participated in all the weather events that have affected the country.

He added that they are used to working in emergency situations, always striving to meet the demands of the population.

“People appreciate it very much, there are unforgettable experiences that mark you as a human being, and I must highlight the kindness with which all Cubans, wherever they are from, have treated us when we work in their communities, I even have friendships that have arisen in those work”, explained Pérez Torres.

In the words of Carlos Lacaba Jofre, director of the Base Business Unit Integral Customer Service Center of the Camagüey Electric Company, creativity, innovation and teamwork allowed to achieve the proposed objective.
