Camagüey, Cuba, Sep 1st.- The delegation that will represent the province of Camagüey in the X Congress of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), to be held from September 26th to 28th in Havana, was flagged with the premise of revitalizing the work of the largest mass organization that brings together more than eight million people in the country.

The appointment will be attended by 39 people from Camagüey, 34 as delegates and five as guests, committed to the mission of staying on the front line of combat against those who try to disturb the order and public tranquility in the neighborhood.

This was expressed by Enrique Oñoz Cardoso, direct delegate to the event, and in this sense, he assured that the Congress will be the result of a democratic, participatory, inclusive and developing movement of the people at the CDR and block level.

He affirmed that from the familiar warmth of the neighborhood they continue forward in permanent defense of the work and thought of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, as heirs of an organization that was born to be eternal.

Belonging to CDR No.5 of the Ibarra popular council in the municipality of Florida, with only 17 years old María Karla Reyes Ríos is the youngest of the Camagüeyan representation, who ratified that the new generations will also find their space in the conclave sessions to demonstrate the unity of the membership and the leading role that young people must assume within it.

In this regard, Eduard Luis Hernández Rodríguez, president of CDR No.3 in the La Bermeja community in the territory of Minas, thanked his neighbors for their trust, so that he can represent them with dignity in the great event, with the same disposition with which he has promoted the solution of social problems such as the repair of roads and the installation of public telephony in that area.

To date, commented Vladimir Sauri Bermúdez, national vice coordinator of the CDRs, nine delegations have championed the country, and within that membership, he recognized the almost perfect mix between youth and experience, women and men who will undoubtedly contribute interesting topics in the congress.

He stressed that the main issues to be discussed by the 600 participants will be related to cadre politics, the completion of structures at all levels, revolutionary popular surveillance as a foundational task, work with children, adolescents and youth, in addition to the food production, rational use of energy, recovery of raw materials and voluntary blood donations.
