Camagüey, Cuba, January 3th.- The members of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP) and the Council of State, and Salvador Valdés Mesa, vice president of the Republic of Cuba, tour some of the works of socioeconomic impact promoted in the city of Camagüey in greeting to the 510th anniversary of the former town of Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe.

Through Radio Cadena Agramonte, a station damaged by the fire that occurred in July 2023, the journey began in which members of the PCC Central Committee Yoel Queipo Ruiz, a member of its secretariat, and Federico Hernández Hernández, first secretary of the Party in the province, in addition to Jorge Enrique Sutil Sarabia, governor of Camagüey.

When exchanging with Alicia Sosa Velázquez, director of the parent plant, they learned about the damage caused by the incident and the renovation actions promoted that allowed changing the electrical and hydrosanitary system, the carpentry and the placement of a new 10-ton air conditioning equipment that benefits the ground floor.

Also as part of the tour they appreciated the restoration work being undertaken at the José Martí Teaching Polyclinic, the remodeling of the Hatibonico pizzeria and the Multipurpose Room of the Carlos J. Finlay University of Medical Sciences.
