Camagüey, Cuba, January 5th.- The people of Camagüey commemorated on the afternoon of January 4 the arrival of the Caravan of Freedom to the land of El Mayor 65 years ago.

In the Plaza de Libertad, where the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz addressed the people of Camagüey in 1959, a representation of the people gathered to commemorate a new anniversary of this historical event.

Members of the Union of Young Communists (UJC) in Camagüey, the Martiano Youth Movement and other organizations, arrived in the city after receiving the young people from Eastern Cuba in the municipality of Guáimaro.

In the cultural political event to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the passage of the victorious caravan through the City of Tinajones, workers and students who are active in the UJC and the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) received the organization’s card, with the presence of the main authorities of the province.
