On its way to five decades, the Nino Moncada Dramatic Group constitutes pride for Radio Camagüey, which on January 16th, 2024 will celebrate a century since its first broadcast
Camagüey, Cuba, Sep 23rd.- Approaching its 55th anniversary in the month of January, the Nino Moncada Dramatic Group, of Radio Cadena Agramonte, paid tribute to the first broadcast in Camagüey of the Teatro Sintético del Aire on September 22nd, 1932, which meant the pioneering appearance in the radio medium of a theatrical performance.
After the applause and ovations of the public that attended the Avellaneda Theater in the Ciudad de los Tinajones, the Provincial Radio Directorate, the Provincial Council of the Performing Arts and the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba in the territory presented recognition to the current group in charge of the dramatized spaces in the Camagüey main plant, continuation of those initiators 91 years ago.
Under the script of Lourdes Margarita Barreiro and the general direction of Javier del Toro, on the stages of the Avellaneda the spectators enjoyed fragments of emblematic works of the national and universal theater, scenes of the Cuban buffo, literary and musical creations and fragments of dramatized programs broadcasted in Cadena Agramonte.
Through the live transmission on the station’s frequencies, the performances of actresses, actors and the skill of the technical team appeared, giving feelings and professionalism to each scene, just as they do daily from the studio where novels are born, serials, children’s, police, historical, all spaces of wide preference in audiences.
On its way to five decades, the Nino Moncada Dramatic Group is a source of pride for Radio Camagüey, which on January 16th, 2024 will celebrate a century since its first broadcast, which is why a day of activities is being carried out that included the evocation of the aired in 1932 by the Teatro Sintético del Aire.
