Camagüey, Cuba, April 5th.- For several days the local culture and the people came together to recognize one of their most illustrious sons of these times: Reinaldo Echemendía Estrada.

With music, dances, theoretical exchanges, exhibitions, audiovisuals and a lot of gratitude, the day of tributes to the director of the Camagüey Folkloric Ballet passed, who for 50 years has made art his source of inspiration and life.

The provincial and municipal directorates of Culture, institutions such as the Council of the Performing Arts, the Music Center, the Hermanos Saíz Association and the Revolutionary Armed Forces recognized the career of the local creator, who, in addition, stands out for his performance in training of the new generations.

Then the music was made from the unmistakable sound of the camagüeyan group Rumbatá, culture and defender of one of the artistic expressions that on the island holds the category of intangible heritage.
