In Camagüey Morales Ojeda urges to recover sugarcane production

Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 29th.- The member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee, Roberto Morales Ojeda, urged in Camagüey to recover sugarcane production, a decisive line for the economy of the country.

At the Siboney plant, of the Agroindustry Sugar Company of the same name, located in the municipality of Sibanicú, he ratified the importance of guaranteeing raw materials for the mills, which demands a gradual revitalization of that area.

While touring the areas of the mill, Morales Ojeda exchanged with several of the workers who are currently involved in the repairs, 93 percent to date, to contribute more than two thousand metric tons of crude oil since December 22.

Lázaro Álvarez Padilla, director of Coordination and Technical Supervision of the AzCuba Sugar Group, explained the income prospects from electricity generation and contribution to the national electro-energy system, to which is added the manufacture of molasses and other derivatives.

Morales Ojeda, accompanied by the member of the Central Committee of the PCC and first secretary in the province, Federico Hernández Hernández, Governor Jorge Enrique Sutil Sarabia and other authorities, recognized the commitment of the men and women of the sector, and commented that the participation of everyone to materialize the production plan.
