Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 18th.- As part of the theoretical program of the XI Festival of the Arts of Artistic Education in Camagüey, a debate moderated by journalist Yanetsy León González was held in the Rine Leal Room of the José Luis Tassende Theater in this city about teaching art in the current sociocultural context, especially for young natives of the digital age.
Professors Alfredo Fuentes Fernández and Hanibal Hernández participated in the exchange and explained from their perspective the ways to achieve a balance between the traditional and the contemporary in order to train artists in a comprehensive way.
The meeting highlighted the need to increase the reading habit in students and achieve feedback among students studying different arts specialties.
For his part, Fuentes Fernández spoke about the importance of the contest to bring the academy closer to the cultural processes of the territory.
He pointed out that the school has to open itself to the world and that this meeting must be a hinge to achieve it.
