Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 3rd.- República Street is a must-see site in the Camagüey capital, locals and visitors come to this important commercial artery and today find it with a renewed image.
In recent weeks, several organizations in the territory have taken on the painting and rehabilitation of commercial establishments so that the pedestrian street can wear its best clothes during the next birthday of the former town.
“It has included more than sixty actions, we have 23 entities with 201 facades, forty private homes, 69 spaces leased to businesses and all of them are transformed”, said Abel Bejerano Valdeolla, head of the Internal Unit in the Ciudad de los Tinajones.
Among the properties benefited to date are units of the Service Company, Public Health, the Popular Savings Bank located on that artery and homes that today show better colors in pursuit of the beautification of the demarcation.
These actions contribute to the maintenance of commercial activity, to improve the urban fabric, to road order and maintenance, and to eliminate the manifestations of social indiscipline that still persist in various parts of the city’s geography.
