Camagüey, Cuba, October 17th.- The increase in the use of QR codes, Extra Cash services and payments through digital channels in the units stand out among the actions of the Commerce and Gastronomy Company during the banking process in the province.
Satisfying the needs of clients is the main objective and, from the beginning, the implementation of these alternatives has had a favorable impact on the population, Mercedes Maceda Hernández, director of the Base Business Unit, told the Cuban News Agency.
For her part, Danieyis Ramírez, a worker at Restaurant 1514, pointed out that this group was already familiar with the different payment methods since the years of the COVID-19 pandemic, where they used EnZona as a means of sale and today users use this and others digital platforms.
Likewise, the 10 basic units and the headquarters of the Camagüey Provincial Food Company are in the process of being delivered to the bank for payment by magnetic card of its workers, even though in municipalities such as Guáimaro, Santa Cruz del Sur, Vertientes and Minas there are no ATMs required for cash withdrawal.
Margeolis Domínguez García, director of Human Capital at the aforementioned entity, explained that although some territories have irregularities with staff, all establishments are able to sell to their customers, through the use of the QR code and payment gateways such as Transfermóvil.
