Camagüey, Cuba, Aug 28th.- Revitalizing its offers in order to attract customers is the purpose outlined by the Provincial Company of City Tourism Santa María within the revitalization process that the different actors of the Cuban economy are experiencing.

As part of the summer closing proposals and in the context of the Arte Plaza Fair -sponsored by the Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey- the entity organized the Tiki Cocktail Festival, with a stage in the Callejón de la Soledad in the Capital City.

Germán Martín Machado, principal professor at the Hermanos Gómez Tourism Training Center, explained to the press present at the expo-tasting the importance of rescuing this type of modality in the different gastronomic establishments belonging to the tourist unit.

Martín Machado also emphasized that the preparation of the drinks responds to objectives defined by the so-called leisure and entertainment industry in the demarcation, for which natural resources and autochthonous and identity elements are used, with a base of rum, tequila, whiskey and other drinks, plus natural fruit juices and liquors.

Currently, tiki cocktails are in its great renaissance, thanks to the bartenders who travel to the original concept, take care of every detail and incorporate ingredients of the best quality and with good taste for the eyes and the palate.

On the way to the 510th anniversary of the founding of the former town of Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe, the Provincial Company of City Tourism is working on the preparation of new proposals and the diversification of offers to please the most refined tastes of the inhabitants of this legendary city and those who come from other regions to enjoy its charms.
