Camagüey, Cuba, Aug 26th.- The revitalization and strengthening of the base structures of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) throughout the country are primary objectives on the way to the X Congress of the organization, which will take place during the next month of September.
In the context of the meeting and of a new anniversary of the creation of the CDRs, in the municipality of Camagüey several actions are developed to increase the mobilization from the neighborhoods.
From the debates carried out in the meetings of the committees, the projections brought to the Municipal Assembly were marked, which, among other issues, point out the importance of achieving higher indicators in the collection of the contribution and the self-financing of this structure.
It also highlights the need to increase the link with universities and educational centers to implement research projects in search of the social development of constituencies with a complex situation.
Regarding this process that the CDR Secretariats are undertaking in all the Cuban provinces, the national coordinator of the organization, Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, told the press that in the present stage there was a broad movement of the masses with work priorities social and preventive, popular surveillance and work with children, adolescents and young people.
On September 26th, 27th and 28th the X Congress of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution will take place, which is why various actions are being undertaken throughout Cuba to strengthen and revitalize the largest mass organization.
