Some 15 members of the different media in the territory, including the municipal ones, will receive the UPEC 60th Anniversary commemorative coin, given to those who have accumulated 50 years or more in the sector
Camagüey, Cuba, Jul 14.- After carrying out a group of activities during the last months, the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC, Spanish Acronym), in Camagüey, is preparing to celebrate this Saturday with dignity, the 60th anniversary of its foundation.
Its president in the province, Yurislenia Pardo Ortega, explained that the event for the anniversary will take place in the Nicolás Guillen Protocol Room in the Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz Revolution Square.
She mentioned, at the same time, that it will be a day of tribute since the Pisto Manchego awards will be given in recognition of the trajectory of a whole year of press professionals.
The appointment will also serve to stimulate 15 members of the different media, including the municipal ones, with the UPEC 60th Anniversary commemorative coin, to those with 50 years or more in the sector.
Since March, with the occasion for the Cuban Press Day, the members of the guild on Camagüey soil linked training actions with tours and exchanges with groups from different spheres in order to delve into the reality of the region.
