Camagüey, Cuba, January 19th.- Given the deterioration of the Agri-Food System suffered in recent months, it is necessary to increase production and differentiated treatment of personnel linked to the activity, said the municipal delegate of Agriculture, Darbis Riva Ramos.

When analyzing the implementation in the territory of Law No.148 on Food Sovereignty and Nutritional Education during the January ordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power (AMPP, Spanish Acronym), the official expressed that it was possible to increase the marketing of meat through direct attention to producers.

The president of the Local Body, Dixamy Rodríguez Gómez, explained that to recover the pork program, superior strategies are needed and that the demarcation has identified the places in which the activity can be promoted and resolve a constant food demand of the locals.

Alexey González Peláez, member of the Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, insisted that progress cannot be made in increasing production because only then will prices decrease. He also called for achieving superior results in 2024 in the different production campaigns sowing and collection.

The political leader highlighted the decisive role of the delegates in these tasks, being in direct contact with the community’s problems, and invited the city to celebrate as it deserves on the upcoming birthday of the former town of Santa María del Puerto del The prince.
