University of Camagüey graduates more than 1,600 new professionals

Camagüey, Cuba, January 18th.- A total of 1,607 young people received the title of graduate from the University of Camagüey (UC, Spanish Acronym) Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, when the graduation ceremony corresponding to the 2023 school year took place.

At the event, the most comprehensive students in the different categories, those with the best academic achievement and each new professional deserved the honor of the territorial authorities, the teaching staff and the business system of the region, to which they will begin to contribute from the different profiles.

Santiago Lajes Choy, rector of the academic institution, reported that young people from 47 majors graduated, including 175 engineers, 65 architects, 200 economists and accountants, 119 graduates in Tourism and 422 new teachers, among others.

Laura Marian Bacallao Padrón, a graduate of Journalism and recognized as the most integral vanguard of the generation of professionals, invited her colleagues to always boast of being graduates of the first university created by the Revolution, to return again and again to improvement and maintaining the ties of brotherhood achieved during the years of study.
