In Camagüey, a literary day facilitated exchanges on local history

Camagüey, Cuba, Dec 17th.- The activities of the IV Reading History Day reached more than 30 institutions in the province, said Emilio Fonseca Amador, vice president of the National Union of Historians of Cuba (UNHIC, Spanish Acronym) in Camagüey.

When summarizing the program that between December 13 and 16, 36 colleagues arrived at different spaces «arguing, telling and reading our history, the one that allows us to know where we come from».

Floirán González and Adys Cupull were present, outstanding in the purpose of recounting the national epic and its protagonists, who presented different texts and called to settle the debts that still exist with the knowledge about the national future.

Fonseca Amador thanked the Enrique José Varona Provincial Center for Books and Literature, the local authorities of the Communist Party of Cuba and the Government for their support; also to the institution’s workers and local writers.

«We will continue working for history, which is uniting wills for the future of the Homeland. We will see each other in 2024 during the 5th edition», he said.
