Arts Festival begins in Camagüey

Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 14.- Artistic education in Camagüey resumes the annual festival that was suspended with the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic, the event began this November 13 with the parade starring the students of the Vicentine Academy of the Torre and will run until November 17.

The cultural proposals of the day continued at the Cultural Management Center of the city of Camagüey, where students from different demonstrations offered the show Voices for Peace, as a show of solidarity with the people of Palestine.

With the slogan Young art for peace, the XI Arts Festival will be dedicated to José Antonio Chávez, National Dance Prize winner; to the playwright José Rodríguez Lastre, to the painter Joel Jover and to International Student Day.

The José Luis Tasende Cultural Center, the Avellaneda and Principal theaters, the Vicentina de la Torre Academy of Arts, the José White Conservatory of Music and the Luis Casas Romero Vocational School of Art will be the venues for this festival of student creation.
