Camagüey, Cuba, October 19th.- The Camagüey delegation participating in the third Cybersociety Congress 2023, based in Havana, presented at the innovation fair the main results of the prototypes promoted by the actors of the Digital Innovation Laboratory ecosystem (Co-Lab, Spanish Acronym ) in favor of the socioeconomic development of the territory.

Ireivys Montell Ramos, professor and president of the base delegation of the Union of Computer Scientists of Cuba (UIC, Spanish Acronym) at the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, commented to the Cuban News Agency that the presentation socialized in the workshop modality allowed to show how Inclusive technological innovation that is implemented at the local level favors the agile and efficient creation of innovative functional and useful solutions that adapt to the needs of citizens and interact in a competitive economic environment.

For his part, Reynaldo Alonso Reyes, president of the provincial branch of the UIC, explained that in this Wednesday’s session, prototypes of digital solutions developed for the culture sector with different degrees of maturity were presented, among which he highlighted the proposals for the sculpture complex dedicated to Camilo Cienfuegos, the San Juan de Dios and Railway museums, the Nuevo Mundo Audiovisual Complex and the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets.

Videre platform were shown that display the development of prototypes of digital solutions through citizen laboratories.

The tools presented by Camagüey at the meeting, Montell Ramos assured, made it possible to verify how the technological innovation process and the articulation of the Camagüey University in local development and digital transformation strategies are diversified in the demarcation to promote entrepreneurship and enhance the use of technologies as value chains.

He added that among the main local impacts it was noted that a local development project is approved for the use of directional technologies, while consolidating the city as an intelligent and resilient tourist destination, and consolidating the transition from the analogue inhabitant to the digital citizen.
