Camagüey sugar mill prepares for next harvest

Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, Cuba, Oct 11th.- With the support of specialized brigades from the Camagüey branch of the Industrial Technical Services Company (ZETI, Spanish Acronym), repair work is progressing at the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes sugar mill, in this municipality.

The largest tasks are undertaken in the boiler house, the area that caused the most time lost in the industry in the last harvest. The action also focuses on replacing mass distributors in poor condition with more operational ones for the upcoming harvest.

With the help of Guillermo Pérez Castillo, national ZETI specialist, work is being done on changing the centrifuge membranes and its lubrication system, as well as on the sugar feeding channel, all aimed at greater efficiency and quality in the production.

The emulation is of the actions associated with the technical tasks, as the driving force of the contest and for the sake of optimal preparation for next December, when the start of the harvest is expected in the municipality of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes.

In all areas we work because the demand and control of resources prevail and efforts are redoubled for better use of the day and the achievement of quality in each task.

The Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and Batalla de las Guásimas sugar mills, the latter in the municipality of Vertientes, will be in charge of sugar production during the next harvest in the province of Camagüey.
