Camagüey, Cuba, October 2nd.- In compliance with the constitutional mandate in the country, the structures of the Local Organs of Popular Power are being perfected.
The most important change is in the autonomy of the municipalities, which requires the decentralization of powers at the national and provincial levels.
Checking the progress of this process was one of the priorities of the exchange held by the Vice President of the Republic of Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa, during a visit to the municipalities of Guáimaro, Sibanicú, Camagüey and Vertientes.
In the analysis of the implementation at this stage of Law 139 of the organization and functioning of the Municipal Administration Council, emphasis was placed on the completion of the templates of the new structure and the preparation, capabilities and suitability of those who assume these responsibilities, who must be competent, who generate and contribute.
