Camagüey, Cuba, Sep 4th.- The 2023-2024 school year in the capital of Camagüey began today with an act that took place at the Revolución de Octubre elementary school.
When speaking at the meeting, Master Osdeinis Hernández Navarro, director of Education in the territory, said that 177 schools opened their doors, which welcome more than 48,000 students.
He specified that although some resources are currently lacking, the material base for study and life essential to begin the educational process is guaranteed.
Pedagogical coverage behaves at 82 percent, which will require the application of alternatives such as the hourly contract, the increase in the teacher-child ratio and the Educating with love university contingent.
This new school period -he said- must be characterized by commitment, detail and quality in everything that is done and the participation and contribution of all so that the results are superior on the different fronts.
Authorities from the Communist Party of Cuba, the Government, Education and other organizations, both from the province and from the capital of Camagüey were present at the opening ceremony of the new school year in the municipality of Camagüey.
