Camagüey, Cuba, Sep 4th.- The National Union of Sugar Workers (SNTA, Spanish Acronym) in Camagüey implements a stimulus program for men and women in the sector to, from the current stage of repairs to agricultural machinery, plants and other means, contribute to a favorable work environment that reverts to productive results.

For this reason, the six combined sugarcane operators who managed to contribute more than one million arrobas of the grass destined for the industries in the past contest received recognition, just when preparations are intensifying to repeat such a feat in the sold-out campaign.

In the midst of limited resources, workers like Ernesto Martínez Martínez, Osmel Álvarez Rabí, Isdenis Infante Aguilar and Miguel Castillo Márquez, from the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Agroindustrial Sugar Company; and Alexei Álvarez Toledo and Ramón Rosabal Pérez, from the Batalla de las Guásimas entity, demonstrate that it is possible, from intricate and remote sugarcane fields, to contribute to the country’s economy.

The commitment now is to once again reach that goal that is so appreciated by the sugar mill tippers, in addition to surpassing the numbers of the previous stage and adding more operators to this Millionaire Movement, an initiative of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.

Yosvany Chávez Lima, general secretary of the Provincial Bureau of the SNTA in Camagüey, explained that the hospitality to the groups in the different fronts of the sugar harvest constitutes a priority, which is why in the decisive period of reparations those who make the most progress are also recognized in compliance with schedules.
