The next edition of this exhibition organized by the Hermanos Saíz Association will be from October 24th to 28th, 2023, in Camagüey, with face-to-face and virtual actions of conferences, workshops and different exhibitions in cinemas and other spaces
Camagüey, Cuba, Aug 31th.- Cuban filmmakers and other nationalities have a new admission period to send the works to the XXXIII Edition of the audiovisual exhibition El Almacén de la Imagen, with permanent headquarters in this city.

This festival convenes in the audiovisual genres or categories of Fiction, Documentary, Animated, Short (up to three minutes) and Promotional (spot, capsules, video clip).
The contestants aspire to the Grand Prize, called Luces de la Ciudad, consisting of an accrediting diploma and the payment of 25 thousand pesos, for the best performance, without distinction of gender and modality.
The jury will also grant awards for specialties: Direction, Screenplay, Photography, Editing, Art Direction, Sound, Original Music and Production. Several institutions will deliver collateral awards.
This extension date also applies to those who register their projects in search of financing for works of fiction or animation, in both cases, Cubans up to 35 years of age, residing in the central-eastern part of the country.
The animation projects may be scripts to be carried out with a duration of up to 5 minutes, with a budget adjusted to 70 thousand pesos; and for the pitching of fiction, short films of up to 27 minutes, with a scheme of 80 thousand pesos.
The Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC, Spanish Acronym) contributes financing for low-budget projects, based on unpublished scripts, free themes or literary adaptations.
El Almacén de la Imagen will have the exclusivity of the premiere, regardless of its registration of the competing Exhibition, hence the importance of its realization during the first semester of 2024.
