Exchange days on children's and youth literature begin in Camagüey

Camagüey, Cuba, Aug 23rd.- A very special moment for the participants in the tour Del verde al adoquín, organized by the Office of the City Historian and the Enrique José Varona Provincial Book and Literature Center, with the participation by the writers Eldys Baratute Benavides and Evelin Queipo Balbuena.

Temporada de héroes (Casa Editora Abril 2021), by the Guantanamo narrator, was the text that motivated the exchange on how Cuban history is taught and known today.

It is a book of short stories in which figures from the Cuban epic such as Mariana Grajales, Ernesto Che Guevara or José Martí are humanized, presenting them to the reader from their affections.

With participation games, questions to those present and the interpretation of some fragments of the book, the morning passed, also enlivened by the performance of the Pirolo Clown.

Eldys Baratute commented that over the next few days there will be panels, conferences, exchanges and many readings with prominent local authors in the field of work for children, adolescents and young people, including Niurki Pérez and Evelin Queipo.

In addition, the volume of Ediciones Matanzas will be presented, A la sombra de un león, which will have the leading role on September 2nd in the Saturday of the Book of the Cuban capital.
