Literary day dedicated to Cuban women will be held in Camagüey

Camagüey, Cuba, Aug 23nd.- Regarding the 63rd anniversary of the creation of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), this August 23rd, the Enrique José Varona Provincial Book and Literature Center will dedicate various activities to celebrate the event.

Music, visual arts and literature will be intertwined to pay homage to the Cuban woman in our days from exchanges on the future of women in the largest of the Antilles to readings led by local writers.

The opening words of the day will be given by the renowned plastic artist Ileana Sánchez Hing, at the La Comarca Literary Café, to then give way to the discussion Vilma Espín and the creation of the Federation of Cuban Women, in which Luisa will participate Morell and Edelmira Rodríguez.

At 10:00 in the morning, in the Municipal Assembly of Popular Power of Camagüey, the professor and researcher Matilde Valera will have the role of Cuban women in the social processes of the nation as a topic for the exchange.

According to Yoanis Soriano, in charge of the Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda Literary Promotion Area, the talent of creators from the Provincial Music Center and the Golpe a Golpe Sociocultural Project will be present, among them the troubadour Harold Díaz, the Voices Duo, and the soloists Yisell Acosta, Liudmila Pardillo and Lolixaidis Díaz.
