Camagüey, Cuba, April 18th.- A special edition of the Voces del gentío group marked the opening of the Girón Victoria del Pueblo Literary Day, dedicated by the Provincial Book Center to the 63rd anniversary of the events of April 1961.

José García Pérez, combatant of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR), was the guest of the space that local writer Alejandro González Bermúdez has hosted for more than twenty years.

From a very young age they began their steps in the world of letters, personal inspirations and commissioned texts for friends in love distinguished this initial stage, in which they gained experience until they were received by the strong literary movement that the FAR had in those years.

Among his readings and inspirations he confessed to Bécquer, José Martí, Julián del Casal, Fayad Jamís, Nancy Morejón, Carilda Oliver and Dulce María Loynaz.

Although it is difficult to lead a working life alongside literary creation, José García does not stop writing décimas and other poems, such as Take care of my dreams, my son, which he shared with the attendees of Voces del gentío.
