Camagüey, Cuba, April 8th.- A few hours separate the start of the Provincial Music Festival, in its 32nd edition, scheduled for theaters, squares, institutions and communities in this city from April 11 to 13.

Some eighty artistic units from different age groups will be in competition, where the virtual and in-person modalities will be merged again for the approval of instructors and specialists from the Culture House System in Camagüey.

The provincial Music methodologist, Dailén de la Caridad Varona Coca, explained that the space seeks to rescue the traditional values of the demonstration and, on this occasion, promote the children’s choir as a unifying formation with a wide presence in the region.

Dedicated to the tenth anniversaries of the Florida musical group La Signal and the vocal group Luis Casas Romero, from the municipality of Minas, the event will open with an exhibition at the Ignacio Agramonte Museum, where the artist Ebenecer Semé Santiago will give the conference Haitian Roots.

Another moment for the improvement of the participants will be in charge of the outstanding performer Eneida Sosa Cardoso, who will speak about peasant music; while on the afternoon of April 11, artistic units from the four Houses of Culture of the princely city will reach the neighborhood in transformation of Palma Street Extension.

Arbelio Marín Padrón, methodologist member of the jury of the Provincial Music Festival, highlighted as one of the most anticipated moments the exchange between the groups of Franco-Haitian traditions Bonito Patuá and Vocal Desandann and invited the closing of the contest on the 13th, at 2:00 pm, at the Principal Theater.
