University 2024 will carry as its slogan the Higher Education of the future: social transformation, quality, relevance and sustainability
Camagüey, February 4th.- Headed by its rector Dr.C. Santiago Lajes Choy, a delegation of professors from the University of Camagüey (UC) Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz will participate online and in person, in the XIV International Congress of Higher Education University 2024, to be held from February 5 to 9, at the Convention Palace from Havana.
Delegates and exhibitors from Camagüey will attend this important event, in which experiences and knowledge will be exchanged in four forums, seven symposiums, 26 workshops, round tables, associated visits, book presentations, keynote conferences, panels, signing of agreements and the Associated Exhibition.
The Camagüey delegation, which is also made up of professors of Medical Sciences, will present research such as The impact of research and student scientific groups in the economics program, Impact of the university center on risk and vulnerability studies in Sierra de Cubitas and Results of the entrepreneurial didactic management in the general physical discipline in engineering.
In terms of internationalization, the Camagüey institution will have a meeting with several delegations, including those from the People’s Republic of China, Germany, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Hungary and Russia, the latter nation with which the possible signing of agreements with two of its institutions, explained Dr.C. Yailé Caballero Mota, Director of International Relations at UC.
The UC will also present at the Associated Exhibition a Stand with the main results and projects of the eight Innovation Programs in which the institution works to contribute to the socioeconomic development of the province and the country through Science, technology and innovation.
A team of exhibitors, made up of specialists from the Institutional Communication and International Relations departments, will provide detailed information to visitors daily, show the achievements of the University of Camagüey and find space for the exchange of experiences and establish ties of inter-university cooperation.
University 2024 will carry as its slogan the Higher Education of the future: social transformation, quality, relevance and sustainability. It will be an event to consolidate the link between academia and science with the community, in order to promote quality learning opportunities for all and to strengthen the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of university processes.
