Camagüey, Cuba, January 8.- Motivated by the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the 510th anniversary of the founding of the former town of Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe, the Community Services Company has been carrying out construction work since this weekend sanitation in the main city.
The initiative, promoted by the main political and government authorities of the district, mobilized the logistics of different companies for the collection of micro-landfills.
Bárbaro Osorio de los Reyes, director of the Camagüey Community Services Company, assured that the accumulated solid waste is due to both deficiencies in the collection system and social indiscipline.
About ten microlandfills were eliminated in the Modelo-Imán community. Miguel García Fransuá, president of that Popular Council, expressed his approval of the initiative: “The streets sometimes do not allow collection, added to this are the shortages of fuel and the lack of discipline of the population. We have been waiting for this task for a long time and we must be systematic in our work».
