Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 29th.- With the purpose of gaining more in construction development, the National Union of Architects and Construction Engineers of Cuba (UNAICC, Spanish Acronym) in the province of Camagüey, will celebrate on December 3rd the 40th anniversary of its foundation.
Heriberto Medina Pérez, president of the Provincial Board of Directors of the UNAICC, explained to the Cuban News Agency that the day will emphasize the preservation of the Environment and housing construction with the use of native materials such as mud.
The celebration will begin on December 2nd with a photographic exhibition that will show the most representative works of the organization during four decades, and will also be dedicated to the Day of the Cuban Engineer, which will be commemorated on January 11th.
Likewise, a tree will be planted for the 40th anniversary on the grounds of the Casino Campestre Urban Park and a tour will be taken of the Camagüey Telecenter, which will allow dialogue with the main designer of that civil work, the architect Margarita de la Cruz Estenoz.
Rigoberto Cantos Mejías, outreach secretary of the UNAICC, indicated that the exchange of experiences will also color the celebrations, since a conference will be given on the past and future of the organization.
He pointed out that designers, company directors and institutions in the construction sector will talk with retirees, young people and members of previous boards of directors of the sector.
