Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 22nd.- With the participation of professors and students from the University of Camagüey (UC), Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz and teachers and directors of the Ministry of Education, the XVIII International Congress of Mathematics and Computing (COMPUMAT 2023).

Cecilia Convention Center Dr.C. Yailé Caballero Mota, president of the Cuban side of the International AI Research Institute of the Hebei University of International Studies, China, gave the inaugural conference called Artificial Intelligence, results and opportunities in Cuba.

The expert explained the origins and concepts of AI, its importance for the digital transformation in Cuba, research and results obtained on the island, its Development Strategy and the opportunities to grow in this area together with the International AI Research Institute of Hebei and other Chinese companies and institutions.

During this first day, the results and impact of research such as Didactic Management in innovation, action and effect when introducing scientific results, Technodidactic Analysis to integrate GeoGebra in Secondary School Statistics and Didactic Management of algebraic objects for professional performance were presented.

The presentations were also defended: Problem solving from neurodidactics in secondary education, Criteria for attention to mathematical talent in Basic Secondary School, Teaching material with current socioeconomic fraction problems and Promotion of literacy from 7th grade mathematical contents.

For today the closing of COMPUMAT in Camagüey reserves the master conferences Algorithms for stimulating distributions from theory to practice and Ontological and epistemological characteristics of Mathematics; as well as the presentation of five other scientific results of impact in this area of knowledge.
