Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 13th.- At the end of the third quarter of the current year, the Camagüey territory executed more than three thousand 182 million pesos in investment processes that benefit important socioeconomic spheres and respond to the Development Strategy of the demarcation.

According to a report from the Provincial Directorate of Economy and Planning provided to the press, the works linked to food production stand out, specifically those aimed at the modernization of the meat industry and the rice program.

Also noteworthy are the works linked to the supply of water to the population, such as those of the Water Treatment Plant of the City of Tinajones and Nuevitas and the rehabilitation of the pumping stations of the Máximo and Pontezuela dam.

Provincial hospitals, educational centers, including the Pedagogical School and the Vocational Pre-University Institute of Exact Sciences; and the Communal sector, have also been favored with various tasks; in addition to the historic center of the capital of Camagüey regarding the 510th anniversary of the former villa de Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe.

The investments in this region of the country include the one that takes place in the 26 de Julio Cement Factory, in Nuevitas and those that multiple organizations, such as the Electric Company, carry out in Cayo Cruz and that contribute to the tourist development of that area.
