Magaly Pedrero Basulto: An example of a woman from Camagüey

Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 7th.- Magaly Pedrero Basulto is a Camagüeyan dedicated to her work in a sector as important as food production to which she has dedicated more than half of her life.

She is the founder of the Urban, Suburban and Family Agriculture Program and has served as administrator of the Organopónico Centro, in the capital of Camagüey, for more than three decades with good results.

With the efforts of their group and the implementation of various initiatives, each year they exceed their plan with the contribution of more than 20 tons of vegetables for social consumption and sale to the population.

Throughout this time, its productive unit has remained at the forefront of this Movement and has reached the different evaluative categories, contributing to the municipality’s results at the front.
