Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 6th.- As part of Cuba Archives, a day of tribute to the work in this activity and the specialists who carry it out, the Territorial Delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (Citma, Spanish Acronym), recognized the progress of several entities in the area of documentary management and historical memory.
In an event held in the Nicolás Guillén Batista protocol room in the Plaza de la Revolución Mayor General Ignacio Agramonte, the Provincial Health Directorate, the Provincial Electoral Council, the Electric Company, the Environmental Research Center and the Provincial Delegation of Hydraulic Resources were recognized.
During the event, a tribute was also made to the Provincial Historical Archive for its 55 years of work dedicated to the preservation of documentary heritage and guaranteeing the conservation and access to historical documents of great value, said Yoel Yordi Guerra, head of the Document Management Department and Archive, from Citma in Camagüey.
The day of tribute to archives and archivists recognizes the institutions and professionals that stand out in the management of documentation and its preservation. In addition, various activities are carried out that highlight the importance of the heritage of different centers.
