Camagüey, Cuba, October 13th.- The Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC, Spanish Acronym) and the Government of Popular Power at that same level recognized the bank workers of Camagüey on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the nationalization of banking in Cuba by the then nascent Revolution.

In a congratulatory message to those who belong to the sector, the member of the PCC Central Committee and first secretary in the Camagüey territory, Federico Hernández Hernández, called on them to maintain the commitment, effort, and consecration with which they provide the necessary services.

In the letter, read by the member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party, Roberto Conde Silverio, during the event for the occasion held in the central Ignacio Agramonte park, the highest political authority urged to preserve and defend the ethics and professionalism with which bankers carry out their work on daily basis.

Hernández Hernández distinguished the fidelity and security with which the union carries out its daily tasks, and recalled the role in the application of various measures that have been adopted in the country, especially to counteract the effects of the United States blockade against Cuba.

At the ceremony, several workers were recognized for their years of service and their career in the national banking system, and the best staff and branches were encouraged, for being exemplary successors of the legacy of Ernesto Che Guevara, first minister and president of the National Bank of Cuba.
