63rd anniversary of Cuban women's organization celebrated in Camagüey

Camagüey, Cuba, Aug 23rd.- The Federation of Cuban Women (FMC, Spanish Acronym) arrives this August 23rd to the 63rd anniversary of its foundation and throughout the country there are several activities that have been carried out since previous dates to commemorate the event.

In the municipality of Camagüey, different actions took place during the current month to celebrate the women’s group, among them the signing of the Book of Honor of the Camagüeyan Women, which had 21 new inclusions.

In addition, from work centers and neighborhoods, outstanding women in support of the FMC and community work were recognized.

Other activities to celebrate the 63rd birthday of the Federation were volunteer work, as well as festivities from the blocks that make up the organization in the Ciudad de los Tinajones.

This August 23rd, the entire country celebrates a new anniversary of the creation of the Federation of Cuban Women and pays tribute to its eternal president Vilma Espín, a paradigm in the defense of the rights of people in Cuba.
