63rd anniversary of Cuban women’s organization celebrated in Camagüey

Camagüey, Cuba, Aug 23^rd.- The Federation of Cuban Women (FMC, Spanish Acronym) arrives this August 23^rd to the 63rd anniversary of its foundation and throughout the country there are several activities that have been carried out since previous dates to commemorate the event.

In the municipality of Camagüey, different actions took place during the current month to celebrate the women’s group, among them the signing of the Book of Honor of the Camagüeyan Women, which had 21 new inclusions.

In addition, from work centers and neighborhoods, outstanding women in support of the FMC and community work were recognized.

This August 23^rd, the entire country celebrates a new anniversary of the creation of the Federation of Cuban Women and pays tribute to its eternal president Vilma Espín, a paradigm in the defense of the rights of people in Cuba.
