Camagüey, Cuba, Aug 18th.- With the objective of promoting the use of electronic collection and payment channels, the provincial system of Agriculture develops a schedule with awareness and training actions at different levels, from the addresses in each territory to the various economic actors that make up the sector.

Lázaro Echevarría Rodríguez, provincial general subdelegate, specified that the identification and diagnosis of the technological supports of the organism constitutes another of the actions of the agricultural sector in order to expedite the bankarization program.

The use of digital platforms for financial procedures works in two directions, the sale of agricultural products from the development of electronic commerce and activities related to logistics.

Echevarría Rodríguez said that concrete actions have been carried out with the Agricultural Supplies Company, the Select Fruits Company and the Provincial Collection Company, and highlighted the Agricultural Production Cooperative (CPA) 24 de Febrero as a pioneering productive base in bankarization of his efforts.

In the same way, in the purchase centers of that entity located in municipalities of Camagüey, point of sale terminals (TPV, or POS) are also installed for the acquisition of agricultural productions from suppliers in the region.

In a first stage, the commercialization can be carried out by both means, electronic and in cash, as the latter is a necessary means in procedures carried out daily by the peasants, such as the payment for hiring in the labor force and the acquisition of some inputs.

The province currently has some 21,500 producers, of which a little more than 19,000 have magnetic cards, and in the agricultural business system, work is being done to incorporate 26 entities into digital platforms.
