The only one of its kind in the country, the Flexible Packaging Factory is committed to the development of the food industry from the production of snack bags ideal for chips and nuts, as well as frozen fish, chicken, vegetables, grains, seeds, cookies, among other products, commented Elso Somonte Diepa, director of the Geocuba Camagüey-Ciego de Ávila Company, to which the aforementioned unit belongs.
He said that with the start-up of some state-of-the-art machines, small productions have already been completed with the dairy industry, the Beverage and Soft Drinks Company and the Cuba-Café Company.
In the same way, Somonte Diepa said, work is being done in partnership with the light industry for cosmetic and hygiene products, as well as the manufacture of collapsible tubes for medicinal creams.
