Camagüey, Cuba, April 4th.- Doctor of Sciences Santiago Lajes Choy, rector of the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, held the traditional meeting that the institution organizes each year with Camagüey journalists as part of the Press Day in the province.
Representatives of the different media received an informative update on the results of the house of higher studies in 2023 and how it is doing in the first quarter of the current calendar.
Lajes Choy highlighted among these the defense of 35 new doctors, the obtaining of six Awards from the Cuban Academy of Sciences and the national recognition of the project The comprehensive training of professionals and their leadership in managerial missions.
In addition, the development of projects with applications of Artificial Intelligence in the solution of real problems, and in this same aspect the inauguration of the International Institute of Artificial Intelligence Research at the Hebei University of International Studies, in China.
Some 1,600 students graduated from that academy in the last period, an institution that exhibits sustained participation in actions linked to national programs.
