Camagüey, Cuba, January 10th.- The Hero of the Republic of Cuba Antonio Guerrero Rodríguez, president of the National Union of Architects and Construction Engineers of Cuba (UNAICC), urged the Hero of the Republic of Cuba Antonio Guerrero Rodríguez to always evoke the thoughts of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz. in the context of the day for the Day of the Cuban Engineer, whose headquarters was awarded this year to the province of Camagüey.

In a Keynote Conference given at the Santa Cecilia Convention Center, in the capital of Camagüey, and in the presence of Roberto Conde Silveiro, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba, along with professionals from various branches of engineering, Guerrero Rodríguez also congratulated to the people of Camagüey for the constructive environment motivated by the 510th anniversary of the founding of the former town of Santa María del Puerto de Príncipe, to be celebrated next February 2.

Also expressed that in the 40 years of creation that the UNAICC has accumulated, the most important thing has been to face the challenges of these times, hence the moments that the organization is experiencing are refreshing.

The Hero of the Republic of Cuba emphasized the contributions of Cuban engineering and the constant goal of growing as part of society and within the work of the Cuban Revolution that joyfully celebrates 65 years of resistance and victories.

He expressed his satisfaction for being in this central eastern region and asserted that his commitment to the country is to close ranks and strengthen unity to move forward and overcome obstacles.

At the meeting, José Rodríguez Barreras, director of the Historian’s Office in the City of Camagüey, highlighted the political and governmental will in the context of the 510th anniversary of the founding town, in order to promote and maintain local history from a strong constructive movement focused on carrying out works with a broad impact on the economic and social life of the population.
