Camagüey Raw Materials Company takes its work to the neighborhoods

Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 5th.- In greeting to the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of the Raw Materials Recovery Company, workers of the entity in this city brought their corporate purpose closer to the community.

For this, four strategic points in the La Guernica distribution were enabled for the collection of glass containers, plastic waste and non-ferrous metals, such as molten and laminated aluminum, said Mailyn Espinosa, director of Human Resources and head of one of the areas of buys.

The initiative, of wide popular acceptance, fulfilled the purpose of leaving the Purchasing Houses and reaching those people without the possibility of transporting raw materials, and in this way receiving an income for this concept, stated Omar Morales, general director of the Raw Materials Recovery Company in Camagüey.

The manager assured that the strategy will be extended on weekends to other communities in the municipality of Camagüey and the rest of the territories with the aim of helping families monetarily and decontaminating the environment through recycling.

Omar Morales explained that in the case of non-ferrous materials, which include aluminum cans, laminated, cast, copper and stainless steel, these contribute 28 million pesos to the company for export and 30 million for compliance with the general plan.

Yanet Huelga, a resident of 18th Street in Guernica, described bringing the service closer to the neighborhood as magnificent and in keeping with current times.

In his case, the amount of raw materials was high, so he also had the support of the entity’s electric tricycles, which went to his home to transport him to the point located in Flamboyán Park.
