Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 2nd.- The group of the Organopónico Tínima Base Business Unit, from the Camagüey capital, is preparing to end this year with the collection of more than a thousand tons of agricultural products.

Agronomist José Antonio Funes González, director of the aforementioned productive base, said that they are currently facing the current cold sowing campaign, with a high commitment.

He explained that all types of legumes are grown there and that they work to guarantee offers for the end and beginning of the year, for which they already have a level of tomato and chard plantations.

They are also prepared with the purpose of sowing a level of lettuce, a variety that, although it is in high demand at the moment, does not have enough seed for large productions.

The Organopónico Tínima, directed by agronomist José Antonio Funes González, is considered the largest of its kind in Latin America, with 1,056 beds in an area of eight and a half hectares.
