Camagüey, Cuba, Oct 8th.- Headed by the Territorial Delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (Citma, Spanish Acronym), the Documentary Management and Historical Memory Conference, called Cuba Archive, takes place in the province of Camagüey.

With the premise of honoring the professionals who guard the documentary heritage of various institutions, several initiatives take place within this cycle of activities that will conclude in the month of November.

Yoel Yordi Guerra, head of the Document Management and Archive Department of Citma, points out that the managers awarded for their outstanding work belong to companies such as the Environmental Research Center, the Provincial Directorate of Public Health, the Engineering Projects Company and Architecture No.11, as well as the Provincial Electoral Commission.

In addition, theoretical events, a children’s contest and a special tribute to the Historical Archive of Camagüey on its 55th anniversary will be held.

Outside the main municipality, activities are also organized to recognize workers from the centers in charge of preserving the heritage of each district.

In the context of the Document Management and Historical Memory Day, Cuba Archive 2023, a broad program of activities is implemented from Camagüey territory that will extend until next November, to celebrate the work of archives and archivists.
