History and improvised verse continue to celebrate in Camagüey

Camagüey, Cuba, March 19th.- One Hundred Questions about José Martí, a text written by Francisca López Civeira, winner of the 2008 National History Prize, had a special presentation at the La Comarca Literary Café in this city.

In more than 200 pages, Dr. López Civeira answers the questions that most concern young people about the Cuban universal poet, whose life profoundly influenced the generations that followed him, especially the one that did not let his mark die in the year of the centenary of his birth.

The text presents information about the childhood of the Apostle of Cuban Independence, his family environment, his efforts to achieve national sovereignty, and the traits of a personality that inspired such admiration and affection in those who knew him.

A meeting dedicated to the décima was held in the same space, with the participation of Virgilio López Lemus and Francisca López Civeira, personalities to whom the 33rd Book Fair, now in its final phase in the eastern part of the island, is dedicated.

The poetic dialogue featured improvisers Nelson Lima and Héctor Peláez, accompanied by the group Cuerdas de la Sabana; and writers Griselda Rodríguez, Olivia Casanova, and Alejandro González.
