Camagüey, Cuba, March 19th.- In Camagüey, Cuba, a group of tasks are currently being undertaken to increase and diversify the country’s external revenue.

In response to the government’s call to correct distortions and boost the economy in the country, three concrete projections have been identified that will be achieved through four actions.

These include a diagnostic assessment for the selection and management of new exportable products, training for entities that produce products for that purpose, and identifying economic actors with the potential to produce products for international marketing.

Foreign trade activity in Camagüey brings together several organizations and institutions, such as the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Statistics, the Cultural Assets Fund, the Dairy, Meat, Fisheries, Forestry, and Beekeeping companies, and the Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz and Carlos J. Finlay universities, in addition to new economic actors.

With the efforts of various entities, both state and private, and the contribution of small-scale industries, the goal is to further develop local production for export and to substitute imports.
