Camagüey, Cuba, Feb 18th.- The search for alternatives to maintain sustainability in interprovincial transportation, given the decrease in technical availability, coupled with fuel limitations, supports the performance of the collective of the Base Business Unit (UEB) National Buses Camagüey.

Reinier Gómez Muñoz, director of the entity, explained that they ensure a group of solutions to the bank of problems that impact this important service with the action of the movement of innovators that involves mechanics, bodyworkers and electricians.

The director pointed out that despite the complex economic situation that the country is going through, motivated mainly by the United States blockade of the island, in the present schedule they are working on the fulfillment of the scheduled departures, and they are also reinforcing itineraries to other provinces with a greater incidence to Ciego de Ávila, Las Tunas and Bayamo.

Currently, the routes leaving from Camagüey have among their priorities two frequencies to Havana and one to the provinces of Matanzas, Santa Clara, Granma, Santiago de Cuba and Guantánamo.

Among other tasks they carry out is the transfer service to provincial buses with difficulties to continue the trip, as well as the effort to put into operation the greatest possible number of buses that affect the technical availability of the equipment in an entity that maintains more than 60 percent of its fleet in good technical condition.
